What would you say if someone told you your life was in danger? Would you push it aside like I did or would you think about it day and night? When someone whispered that my life was in danger I pushed it away. No one knew me expect for my parents and sibling and don’t forget my best friend Lyla. I was walking down town with the shopping when I passed a group of teenagers. The guy in the middle who was wearing a grey hoodie turned around and looked at me. I smiled. He smiled back. He waved his hand as his friends pulled him away. I felt my cheeks burning. Something tugged me at the back of my mind. I heard the words you're like is in danger. I pushed it aside. I knew what happened when people listen to the voice inside their heads. My old, worn, second hand phone vibrated in my pocket. I sat down on the nearest bench and pulled out my phone. It was text from my best friend Lyla. She was my friend. No one in the entire world saw me. Well that’s how they acted. Well not everyone, that boy I had passed smiled and waved at me so not everyone. The text said: saw Brent walk down the street he asked me if I wanted to go to the social with him! I replied to the text. OMG Lyla. Just saw a really cute boy and he smiled at me. First boy since primary to see me! I got an instant reply: Really? You’re just pulling my leg. Even best friends can doubt each other. I checked the time. 5:00! Bill will be home and he’ll be mad at me for being late. I pocketed my phone and ran the rest of the way.
